Mass Firings: DEI Officers Feeling the Heat Amidst Shifting Tides!

It is being widely reported that woke DEI workers are being fired everywhere. In the wake of the George Floyd riots, corporate America went woke and started implementing DEI programs, which stand for diversity, equity, and inclusion. Corporations starting to bring in DEI officers who supposedly have the expertise to ensure equitable and accessible workplaces for people of all backgrounds. It turns out, DEI officers were just radically woke ideologues enforcing reverse discrimination in the workplace.

– DEI positions are being cut in many organizations after the Supreme Court’s decision ending affirmative action and conservative governors’ actions against diversity programs.

– Hollywood and corporations have fired DEI officers!

– A group of scholars faced resistance from engineering students who rejected a survey on transgender issues, leading to a controversial paper’s publication.

It is being widely reported that those DEI positions are getting slashed everywhere. We just had the amazing decision handed down by the Supreme Court, a 6 to 3 decisive smackdown officially ending affirmative action, particularly about college admissions. The ripple effect is being felt throughout society, most particularly in corporations that have started firing their DEI officers shortly after the Supreme Court’s decision, no doubt concerned about comparable legal action against them in the wake of the decision. It’s not just the Supreme Court– conservative governors like Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Texas Governor Greg Abbott have also contributed to the massive backlash against DEI initiatives.

DeSantis signed a bill to block government funding for diversity programs in public colleges, reinterpreting DEI as “discrimination, exclusion, and indoctrination.” Governor Abbott issued orders to stop using DEI programs in state agencies because of their vile practice of reverse discrimination. It looks like more corporations are finally rejecting DEI absurdities. Even Hollywood took a surprising turn by firing four Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion officers the day after the Supreme Court ruling striking down affirmative action.

We don’t know exactly why this is happening. It could be that they are learning their lesson that wokeness is box office poison, especially after Disney has lost upwards of nearly a billion dollars on their last 9 film releases; it could be that they’re throwing all this woke nonsense out because it’s destroying their business; or it could be simply that they need to make budget cuts and DEI officers are the first to go. The good news is that either way, DEI officers are being removed.

Recently, a group of ultra-woke scholars published an article in the Bulletin of Applied Transgender Studies, hosted by Northwestern University. The scholars surveyed engineering students to see if they could gain some insight into the perspectives of transgender individuals in the STEM field. To their utter shock and horror, these engineering students treated the survey itself as a bunch of total bunk and pushed back against these scholars, rejecting the woke nonsense. The students mocked and ridiculed the survey, pointing out that transgender issues are irrelevant to their engineering studies.

The students questioned why they were even being subjected to such ridiculous and irrelevant questions and why gender-related issues were being shoved down their throats since it had nothing to do with the highly technical knowledge needed for engineering. In response to the students’ dismissive and mocking attitudes towards the survey, these woke scholars published a paper entitled “Attack Helicopters and White Supremacy: Interesting Malicious Responses to an Online Questionnaire about Transgender Undergraduate Engineering and Computer Science Student Experiences” The reason they brought up attack helicopters is that a number of the students claimed that they identified as Apache helicopters. These woke scholars accused the students of being far-right fascists.

If identity is solely determined by self-designation, as these scholars clearly believe, such that imposing an identity on an individual is considered the epitome of evil, then these so-called researchers and scholars not only have no objective basis to label the students’ mocking responses as malicious, but to do so is itself an act of evil. It’s imposing on these students an identity with which they don’t self-identify. The students might genuinely identify as an “Apache helicopter”; the point is, they have no basis to impose the identity of a far-right fascist on these students, according to their logic. This is why DEI officers are going the way of the Jurassic Era. Nobody wants them. They are proponents of discrimination and are a bunch of hypocrites.
