One of the big wins to come out of Super Tuesday yesterday was the blowout win by Trump-endorsed Mark Robinson, who is now officially the Republican gubernatorial nominee for the state of North Carolina. Given how deep-red North Carolina has become and how far ahead Trump is in the polls there, it’s widely agreed that Robinson is all but guaranteed to win and win big come November. Robinson is hardly shy about his opinion on the current cult of wokeness that has infested our cultural institutions:
One of the most striking ironies of Mark Robinson’s victory yesterday was how it clashed with the worldview of the ultra-left who see the new right in American politics as incurably and incessantly racist. For example, we can look at MSNBC’s full-time racist Joy Reid’s take on what happened on Super Tuesday:

She didn’t get a single bit of pushback from anyone on that ultra-leftist panel. What she just said there was blatantly contradicted by the overwhelming election victory of Mark Robinson. And while Joy Reid doesn’t appear to understand what’s happening here, the rest of the woke media seems to. They recognize that Mark Robinson’s election and Trump’s takeover of the Republican Party is far more about values than it is about race. Headlines from Rolling Stone show that the freak-out is far more over worldview than ethnicity. The New Republic published a piece titled: ‘Meet North Carolina’s GOP Governor Candidate: A Hitler-Quoting Extremist.’
These ultra-leftist legacy media outlets recognize that Robinson’s victory signals a significant shift in values among voters in the new GOP, but the irony is that the only ones they have to blame for the rise of these radically anti-woke values that they decry and denigrate are themselves. Trump is polling far beyond anything we have ever witnessed in every poll out there. His base is growing stronger than ever, and Biden is a laughing stock. The Democrats’ plans to use lawfare to take Trump out is falling apart.
Scholars have noticed that the world is going through a fascinating phenomenon known as retraditionalization where more populations are returning to custom, culture, and tradition. This particularly includes their religious traditions as rich sources of meaning and truth amid the moral and spiritual bankruptcy of our modern secular globalist era. It’s happening all over the world and is changing politics and international relations like never before. We are seeing a reawakening of Christian civilization in Russia, Hungary, Poland, and Georgia. The extraordinary electoral success of Hindu nationalism in India, the neo-Confucian revival in China, and the extraordinary surge in Christian conversions throughout sub-Sahara Africa show that religion is booming in our world today!
This is exactly what we are seeing with the candidacies of Mark Robinson of North Carolina. This raises the question as to why. Why are religion and religious politics going through such a resurgence today? This is where the critics of Mark Robinson are going to have to take a very long and hard look in the mirror. A new coalition is forming that is upending the politics that have dominated North America now for the last few decades. It is a growing coalition that scholars such as Eric Kaufmann of the University of London have been predicting will indeed be the new governing majority in the West in a matter of another decade. This is because religious conservatives are outproducing secular woke liberals!
The liberals who authored the critical articles against Mark Robinson have stopped having kids. Liberalism redefines having children as a mere lifestyle choice, and nothing more. You cannot redefine having children as a mere lifestyle choice and expect your society to continue to repopulate. It’s what Kaufmann calls the ‘soft underbelly of liberalism.’ Secular liberalism entails its own “demographic contradiction.” Liberalism necessitates the freedom not to reproduce, and so, secular liberalism is an inherently futile belief system that by its nature undermines civilization.
By contrast, conservatives and conservative religionists are having more children than ever, especially when you factor in child mortality rates. For example, in 2010, the average number of children born to leftist liberals in the US was about 1.8. However, the average number of children born to what demographers term the “far right” was 3. This is a pattern that holds throughout the West in both the US and Europe. On average, conservatives have a fertility advantage over liberals of 40%, but it’s even more dramatic when you compare conservative religionists with atheists or agnostics. For every one child born to the irreligious, two are born to the religious.
Kaufmann and others have been predicting that by 2030, the culture wars will decisively tip in the direction of the conservatives because they are demographically growing while secular liberals are demographically shrinking. That is exactly what we are seeing in 2024. The irony, given the demographic consequences of their own woke ideology, these liberal commentators only have themselves to blame!
