Franklin Graham is sounding the alarm: a storm is coming, and Christians better be prepared. We are going to see what Reverend Graham just said and how there is indeed a storm brewing, but it will be very different from what anyone could have imagined.

The Reverend Franklin Graham, Billy Graham’s son, reportedly delivered a powerful and ominous keynote speech at the National Religious Broadcasters convention in Orlando, Florida on Monday. The president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and head of Samaritan’s Purse sounded the alarm about an impending cultural storm and the challenges that will be inevitably faced by churches and ministries across the country.
Graham said, ‘I believe there is a coming storm that we all need to be ready for. The world has deteriorated so quickly. We cannot be deceived and we can’t be fooled. We need to get ready and be prepared. It’s not going to be good. The world is deteriorating so quickly. It seems like every demon in hell has been turned loose.’ The key here for Graham is that the cancel culture we’ve been seeing thus far is just a warm-up. The canceling of individuals and organizations and the like is ultimately coming for conservative Christians as a whole.
He pointed out that believers in the United States are facing relentless attacks aimed at destroying their organizations. He cited the National Committee for Religious Freedom as an example, which recently had its Chase bank accounts abruptly closed. For Graham, these organizational cancellations are all just the tip of the iceberg. The real cancellation is going to come for conservative Christians as a whole.
He talked about his concern over the fact that Amazon, which has shown its willingness to cancel companies like Parler, basically owns the data cloud, so corporations like Amazon have the power to cancel a whole group of people with basically the press of a button. That’s why Samaritan’s Purse, Graham’s organization, took the initiative to build its own data center in Colorado. Graham stated that the center was designed not only to serve their organization but also to assist other entities in storing their data securely.
We are seeing Graham advocate here the parallel economy, indeed, I would argue, the rising parallel civilization that’s happening all over the world. Several conservative pundits like James Lindsay and others are recognizing that the woke culture wars have already been set up and framed for a full-scale assault on conservative Christians. That’s because the frame is now increasingly becoming clear. Conservative Christians, particularly in their boycotting of Bud Light, Target, and Disney, are demonstrating themselves to be anti-LGBT. In a nation that seeks inclusion for all, conservative Christians are the enemy!
The concern is that this isn’t simply a matter of differing opinions or values or concerns anymore. This is turning into a civil war where one side must be completely and entirely defeated. Graham is calling on all Christians to prepare themselves for the coming woke assault and get plugged into parallel structures to be able to weather the storm.
The problem with Graham’s argument is that it’s going to be very hard for leftwing forces to unite against conservative Christians because leftwing forces aren’t united. Ana Kasparian of the ultra-left Young Turks was pushing back against the backlash she received from her fellow leftists after she called transgender language degrading to women. She originally tweeted out, ‘I’m a woman. Please don’t ever refer to me as a person with a uterus, birthing person, or person who menstruates. How do people not realize how degrading this is? You can support the transgender community without doing this shit.’
Almost immediately, British rapper and entrepreneur Zuby responded to the tweet with, ‘You know, your ‘side’ is gonna roast you now. I hope you’re ready for the tolerance!’ Kasparian responded, ‘They have the right to speak their piece, as do I.’ To which another respondent said, ‘They don’t think you have that right.’ To which Kasparian answered, ‘I can see that. Sad day for them.’
The woke mob swooped in to excommunicate Kasparian for her wrong thinking. Through all of this, her crime was insisting that people refer to her as a ‘woman.’ In the age of pronoun designations, it seems that she would have that right. Not according to the rabid woke left, who are quick to excommunicate even their own when they fail to toe the line of woke orthodoxy. The left is splitting apart because of wokeness which is alienating almost as many people on the left as it is on the right.
This notion that there’s a unified left that can effectively persecute conservative Christians likely gives too much credence to the left. It is doubtful they can do that given how they are in such disarray. However, what Franklin Graham said about building parallel structures like internet servers and cloud storage is wonderful news.
The parallel economy is already well underway all over the world. Worldwide patriots are building the civilization of the future that rejects everything woke. Franklin Graham is likely right that we will see a storm, but in many respects, that storm might be people on both the left and the right who have finally had it with all of this woke nonsense. Like we’ve seen with Disney, Netflix, Bud Light, and Target, companies that go full-woke should prepare for the wrath that is about to be unleashed.
