We are seeing a stunning turn of events in the election as Kamala’s VP pick is at the center of many unusual controversies!
Tim Walz was part of the army national guard for a few decades. When George W. Bush called his unit up to be deployed to the middle east, he left. He pursued a political career then. As part of this political career, Walz has been on record claiming that he went over to the Middle East in his military career. Many of his coworkers have publicly stated over the past several years that this is not true and that he never served in combat roles.
Walz misleads people with his comments, saying ‘my unit was deployed’ which makes people think he would be a part of these missions, but he was not.

Harris had to pick him because she is likely to lose Minnesota. Lots of polling and internal data shows that Minnesota is shifting far away from Biden and Kamala, so choosing Walz is seen as a desperate attempt to secure states like Minnesota that the left traditionally has no problem securing.
Now many are reporting that Walz has committed stolen valor. This is not going to play well in rural areas and swing states. The whole point of bringing Walz on was to strengthen the ticket where it is already weak. Rural America does not like Kamala Harris. Now, Walz will likely not strengthen support in these weak areas. This is a political disaster that promises to sink this ticket.
The new polls coming out that Kamala is supposedly so far ahead are clearly not accurate as the disdain for her radicalism and her VP choice are not being accurately reflected in mainstream polls. Walz committing stolen valor is likely going to be so problematic for this ticket that it may not be Walz we see as her final running mate, which would make the Democrat party look even more weak and scrambling as they already replaced their presidential candidate and now may need to replace their VP too.
