Turning Point Action, the self-described “political arm” of Turning Point USA, hosted the ACTCON conference for the conservative youth last weekend. The event took place at a convention center under the sunny skies in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Those attending the event seemed to have gotten more than just any other political conference, though. ACTCON served as a rallying point for conservatives, emphasizing the urgency to shift the country from its impending demise.
However, it was President Donald Trump’s appearance that really seemed to have sparked something beneath all of those in attendance. Following Trump’s electrifying reception of applause, his speech indicated that America has found itself on a precipice. A precipice of going too far gone or miraculously salvaging itself, with Trump concluding that if he doesn’t win in 2024, salvaging won’t be an option.

ACTCON wasn’t just a platform for fiery speeches; it was a participatory experience, igniting enthusiasm and promoting grassroots involvement. Breakout sessions provided attendees with invaluable knowledge on the intricacies of poll watching and how to become precinct chairs, empowering them to take meaningful action on the campaign trail and within their local communities.

In the spirit of fostering a sense of hope and purpose among the students who typically face social backlash for their views, ACTCON was able to show the youth that they aren’t alone, while also challenging the notion that younger generations are a “lost cause.”
As these conferences take place, up-and-coming leaders continue to emerge, and it becomes evident that the future of the movement is anything but dim.

From the sun-soaked beaches of West Palm, a resounding message emerged: conservatives must become united in their determination to steer the country back on track. Thanks to Turning Point Action, students seemed to have left with a renewed sense of purpose and a shared commitment to the cause.
The energy felt at this event stands as a testament to the potency of conservative ideology and the significance of a collective spirit of determination, especially among those with the longest futures at stake.
