Deep State’s Worst Nightmare—Bolton's Guilty Plea

The tides have turned. John Bolton, a towering figure within the deep state and a relentless critic of President Trump, has taken a dramatic fall from grace. The man who spent years accusing Trump of abusing power has now pled guilty to doing just that—abusing power and committing crimes. The irony is almost palpable.

- John Bolton, former national security adviser, has agreed to plead guilty to charges of mishandling classified information.
- The Department of Justice indicted Bolton on 18 counts related to the unlawful handling and transmission of national defense information.
- Bolton, an outspoken Trump critic, now faces a $2 million fine and up to five years in prison.

Last October, a federal grand jury indicted Bolton on 18 charges. Eight counts involved the unlawful transmission of national defense information, while 10 concerned the illegal retention of that information—violations of the Espionage Act. The DOJ accused him of hoarding classified documents at his Maryland home and using unsecured email to share top-secret materials with family members who had zero security clearance. These were not just any documents; they contained sensitive intelligence about foreign adversaries that, if misused, could endanger lives.

Bolton, who rejoiced when the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago on similar charges against Trump, now stands humbled. Trump, as president, held ultimate authority over classification, making the charges against him baseless. Yet Bolton defended the raid, arguing a case that, constitutionally, didn't hold water. Now, the tables have turned.

Bolton has agreed to plead guilty to a single count of retaining classified information, facing a hefty fine and potential prison time. His attorneys clearly saw no escape. He was caught red-handed, storing thousands of pages of classified material and sharing them via unsecured emails. The audacity and carelessness of using a personal AOL account to send classified documents are staggering.

Adding to the irony, it was Joe Biden’s Justice Department that initiated the investigation after discovering that Bolton’s compromised email, likely hacked by Iran, leaked sensitive information. Bolton failed to disclose this breach to the FBI, further compounding his negligence and leading to this case being opened in 2022.

This prosecution marks a significant victory against a prominent deep state member. Bolton's downfall illustrates the perils of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) overriding common sense. He served as Trump's national security adviser for self-promotion, only to betray him for personal gain. His obsession with destroying Trump blinded him to his own legal transgressions.

The legacy media, too, is left eating crow. They once painted Bolton as a martyr, accusing Trump of retribution. Yet, their narratives crumble as Bolton pleads guilty, exposing their bias and shameless allegiance to left-wing propaganda.

As Bolton prepares to face the court on June 26, the judge will decide his fate. While his legal team will push for no prison time, the plea deal’s stipulations remain. Had he faced trial on all counts, he could have spent the rest of his life behind bars. This outcome sends a clear message: the deep state is not invincible. Justice, albeit slow, prevails, toppling even the most arrogant of its members.
