– Ronna McDaniel’s hiring by NBC sparked outrage from MSNBC hosts like Chuck Todd and Rachel Maddow, leading to her swift firing.
– McDaniel also lost representation from her talent agency, indicating broader repercussions for her post-RNC career.
– Public trust in the media continues to decline, with polls showing high levels of distrust and plummeting viewership across major networks.
After a disastrous tenure as head of the RNC where her utter cluelessness lost several elections for Republicans, she got a gig over at NBC and did her best to memorize and spout off faithfully predictable, old, tired Democrat talking points. But the so-called ‘talent’ over at MSNBC wouldn’t have it. Immediately, Chuck Todd, the failure of Meet the Depressed, as Rush Limbaugh used to call it, went scorched earth on McDaniel:

With the hiring of McDaniel, Chuck Todd is now concerned about the truth. He asks how we can trust McDaniel since she was being paid now for what she says on NBC. It’s a good question, but it seems like he does not think that the same applied to him when he was getting his paychecks from Pfizer and Big Pharma, their number one sponsors. It wasn’t just Chuck, Rachel Maddow compared her to a mobster!

NBC executives, being the defenders of truth, facticity, and objectivity in journalism, fired her. They buckled under the pressure of their talents’ temper tantrums. In firing McDaniel, the executives at NBC said that the newsroom must be “cohesive and aligned.” This is what Chuck Todd and Rachel Maddow are ultimately freaked out over. It’s not truth or facticity, it’s alignment. The NBC bosses have, by their hiring Ronna McDaniel, admitted that they don’t buy their own network’s lies about January 6th. They believe the former RNC spokesperson to be a legitimate political analyst, not a co-participant in an insurrection.
Ronna was also dropped by her talent agency. She learned all the lines and liberal talking points, but she still got stabbed in the back. Things aren’t looking so good for Ronna post-RNC. President Trump couldn’t help but troll her, along with the pathetic petulance over at MSNBC.
He took to Truth Social and wrote “Wow! Ronna McDaniel got fired by Fake News NBC. She only lasted two days, and this after McDaniel went out of her way to say what they wanted to hear. It leaves her in a very strange place, it’s called NEVER NEVERLAND, and it’s not a place you want to be. These Radical Left Lunatics are CRAZY, and the top people at NBC ARE WEAK. They were BROKEN and EMBARRASSED by LOW RATINGS, HIGHLY OVERPAID, quote ‘TALENT.’ BRING BACK FREE AND FAIR PRESS – MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN 2024!”
This is obviously what the vast majority of the population wants. We have a new poll out on the trustworthiness of the legacy media that is devastating! A survey conducted by Center Square Voters’ Voice found that barely 40% of the public considers the media trustworthy. A full 54% believe the media is completely untrustworthy. That’s a better result than the latest Gallup poll that found that only 32% of Americans trusted the legacy media. This is a devastating indictment.
Trustworthiness is the backbone of the business model of news media. If you are not trusted as a reliable mediator of information, readers and viewers will go elsewhere. That’s exactly what we’re seeing today. The ratings don’t lie! CNN’s audience has plummeted by 90% in the last two years. Even Fox News has lost nearly half their audience since firing Tucker Carlson, the host of their number one show, and we still don’t know why they fired him. The ultra-leftist Vice News has filed for bankruptcy. Their flagship Vice News Tonight had been canceled. Ultra-left Buzzfeed News is also permanently closing its doors!
Over 2000 newspapers have folded over the last 15 years. It’s not just newspapers, the whole legacy media is collapsing right before our very eyes. Already commentators are pointing out that MSNBC did themselves no favors in ousting McDaniel. They only further underscored their reputation as a bitterly-partisan anti-Trump network that pushes pro-Democrat, pro-woke propaganda. In light of this pattern of the legacy media’s demise, the irony here is that these NBC executives and their so-called talent may indeed end up finding themselves in the same unemployment line as Ronna McDaniel!
