The Epstein Files have erupted in a way the Democrats never anticipated. After months of demanding transparency and claiming moral high ground, the files they so fervently sought have boomeranged back on them, revealing a tangled web of connections that could spell one of the biggest political backfires in recent history. The House voted 427 to 1, and the Senate unanimously supported the release of Epstein's files, now awaiting President Trump's expected signature. Yet, the fallout from this vote has been swift and damaging. Larry Summers, former Treasury Secretary under Obama and ex-president of Harvard University, was the first casualty. He announced several resignations after it was revealed he exchanged emails with Epstein, even seeking dating advice from the convicted sex offender.
But it doesn't stop there. Stacey Plaskett, a non-voting delegate from the Virgin Islands, received tens of thousands in donations directly from Epstein. Shockingly, they were texting during a congressional hearing in February 2019, with Epstein feeding her questions to grill former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen in an attempt to dig up dirt on Trump. Ironically, Trump only appears in the Epstein files due to Epstein’s obsession with him. There's no email exchange between Trump and Epstein, as Trump simply doesn’t use email. Even former Attorney General Bill Barr testified that there was no evidence of wrongdoing by Trump in the files.
On the contrary, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries finds himself entangled in this mess. Dubbed "Brooklyn's Barack," Jeffries' campaign solicited money from Epstein back in 2013—five years after Epstein's conviction as a sex offender. Dynamic SRG, a fundraising group, sent Epstein an email praising Jeffries and inviting him to a fundraising dinner with Barack Obama. Jeffries denies recollection, but Republican Representative James Comer has the receipts to prove it.
The irony is palpable. Jeffries, who has been vocally demanding transparency about the Epstein files, conveniently omitted his campaign's solicitation of Epstein. Even CNN can't ignore the Democrats’ blunder, especially with delegate Plaskett. Imagine the uproar if it were Trump texting Epstein back in 2019! Yet, here we are, with Democrat delegates seemingly immune to accountability.
And this is just the beginning. Chairman Comer has subpoenaed Bill and Hillary Clinton to testify about their Epstein connections. If they refuse, they’ll face contempt of Congress charges, akin to Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro, but now with a Republican Attorney General. The Clintons have already delayed depositions multiple times, undoubtedly aware of the storm brewing.
For months, the Democrats and their media allies peddled a narrative that Trump was deeply connected to Epstein, leaking selective documents and doctoring emails. But now, the truth is laid bare: Democrats were the ones colluding with Epstein, accepting his money, and coordinating attacks on Trump. This spectacular backfire reveals Democrats' fixation on attacking political opponents rather than seeking justice.
In their quest for transparency, Democrats unwittingly triggered their own demise. They pressed the big red button labeled "Do Not Press," and now the trap door has opened beneath their feet. The American people deserve to know every detail—every connection, payment, and flight. Thanks to the Democrats' own insistence, now they will. The Epstein Files may very well be the most catastrophic consequence of Trump Derangement Syndrome. This is what happens when Trump plays 4D chess while his opponents are still figuring out checkers. The files are coming, the truth is coming, and Democrats just guaranteed their own reckoning.
