Will Trump's Intervention Finally End the Democrat Party?

Over the weekend, tens of thousands of protestors marched through the streets of Los Angeles, protesting the series of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids that are part of President Trump’s mass deportation efforts. Things quickly escalated into violence as protestors waving foreign flags—ironically those of countries they claim to want to avoid being deported to—began pelting police cars with projectiles. Rioters proceeded to set self-driving cars on fire and attacked police officers with pyrotechnics and fireworks. Thousands of anti-ICE rioters took over the 101 freeway in Los Angeles, trapping hundreds of drivers who found themselves at the mercy of these violent protestors. This prompted President Trump to assert, "Enough!" and call in the troops.

- Major protests in Los Angeles over ICE raids escalated into violence, prompting President Trump’s intervention.

- Support for Trump’s immigration policies has surged, with many voters aligning against an open border stance.

- The ideological struggle evolves into a confrontation between America First values and radical leftist ideologies, posing significant political consequences for the Democrats.

As chaos reigned in the city, President Trump’s decisive actions are poised to potentially deliver a knockout blow to the Democrat party. Observers have noted that border security and mass deportation have consistently polled as the issues commanding the highest level of support among Trump's initiatives. Even a CBS poll, notorious for its pro-Democrat bias, acknowledged that a clear majority of voters support Trump’s immigration policies. Polls from more centrist sources like RMG show that Trump’s immigration policy approval rates have soared to around 60 percent.

The national sentiment surrounding immigration has shifted dramatically from 2020, as voters evaluate the destructive legacy of an unprecedented open border policy instituted under Biden. Unlike the “Summer of Love” in 2020—during which Trump displayed restraint while allowing far-left mayors and governors to manage their riots—the current situation represents the “Summer of the Steel Glove.” The public now witnesses a strong federal response aimed at restoring law and order, marked by overwhelming support from the American populace. Hours into the riots, Trump dispatched 2,000 National Guard troops under federal control, circumventing the feckless governance of California's Governor Gavin Newsom. By citing a provision within Title 10 of the U.S. Code, Trump acted to restore order and preserve the authority of the federal government.

Meanwhile, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stands ready to deploy Marines if necessary, demonstrating a firm no-nonsense approach backed by congressional leaders. This decisive response starkly contrasts the desperate narratives spun by legacy media, which persists in promoting leftist propaganda. Reporters advocating for “mostly peaceful protests” remain out of touch with the reality on the ground, depicting scenes of chaos as harmless gatherings.

The editorial board of the New York Times astonishingly declared that Trump’s call for troops is the "REAL Emergency," dismissing the anarchy unfolding before their eyes. Their failure to recognize the political ramifications of siding with rioters—many of whom openly reject American ideals—exemplifies an elitist disconnect that contributes to the Democrats' trajectory of political suicide. With Democrat governors publicly backing rioters and attacking law enforcement, they indeed find themselves on the wrong side of a critical political moment in U.S. history.

As commentator Stephen Miller aptly noted, the Democrats are entangled in a web of absurdity and radical ideology that no longer resonates with the broader population. The association of such figures with the radical left—comprising political leaders who have embraced open borders and chaotic policies—foreshadows a severe backlash. This is an "80/20 issue" where the Democrats find themselves increasingly isolated.

The ideological struggle manifests as America First versus Post-America; the latter seeks to enact policies that emphasize a Marxist conception of social justice and systemic transformation. Critics argue that America's strength should not derive from exploitation; rather, it should stand for justice and opportunity for all Americans. Historian Christian Heines underscored that "What is America?" cannot be resolved through polite discourse. Instead, decisive action must prevail over mere debate if the vision for America’s future is to align with its foundational ideals.

In this tumultuous landscape, the stakes are high. President Trump appears to recognize the necessity for actions that are as resolute as those of the left. By effectively dealing with riots and civil disobedience, not only are the immediate threats addressed, but a broader political comeback against the Democrats may also be feasible. The potential exists not merely to quash anti-American sentiment among rioters in Los Angeles but to deal a definitive blow to the Democrat party as a whole.
