He has joked about renaming the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America and the Panama Canal the US Canal. While many believe that these comments were made in a joking manner, Justin Trudeau, Canadian Prime Minister, has announced that he is stepping down from his position as the liberal party leader. Greenland has also announced that they want independence from Denmark and want to consider other countries to be involved with. It is clear that Trump is already sparking global conversations and potentially influencing other nations’ decisions. The world is quickly responding to his impending inauguration, and many of these developments are positive for America or indicate that other countries are gaining more respect for America.
Shockingly, Mark Zuckerberg has announced that he wants to make Facebook and Instagram places of free expression. He is striving to turn the direction these companies are heading toward more open communication and expression of ideas.
Zuckerberg wants Meta platforms to get rid of fact checking and use community notes like X. He also plans to lift topic censorship and bans so that people can discuss political topics without being banned or deplatformed again. This is likely in response to Trump returning and having so many powerful allies along with the House and Senate ready to enact the conservative agenda. The culture is clearly shifting to a more traditional direction as the country voted for conservatives by such a wide margin in the past election.
Biden has been desperately trying to maintain relevance as he is on the way out by offering the presidential medal of freedom to many controversial recipients. But nothing can distract from the excitement of Trump’s return to the White House. Trump’s ideas are completely overshadowing Biden as the country prepares to be under his new administration!
