The Truth Behind Brown's Palestinian Student Disappearance

In a shocking sequence of events, Brown University is under fire for allegedly hiding a Palestinian activist amidst a frantic search for a shooter. The gunman who opened fire, killing two students and wounding nine others, remains at large. Meanwhile, the actions—or lack thereof—by the university and the police are raising more questions than answers.

- Brown University is accused of erasing a Palestinian student's online presence.
- The police investigation appears hampered by identity politics and institutional panic.
- Ivy League radicalism is being exposed, questioning the integrity of these institutions.

On December 13th, at 4:05 p.m., chaos erupted at Brown University. A masked gunman entered Room 166 of the Barris and Holley engineering building, where 21 students were attending a review session for an economics final. Without uttering a word, he opened fire, hitting 11 students. Two tragically lost their lives: Ella Cook, a promising conservative leader from Birmingham, Alabama, and Mukhammad Aziz U-MUR-zokov, an aspiring biochemist from Brandermill, Virginia. Initially, police reports claimed a suspect was in custody, but this was retracted shortly after. Subsequent alerts about gunfire were similarly dismissed as unfounded. This institutional confusion has led to Rhode Island's largest manhunt, with the FBI offering $50,000 for information. Yet, despite over 200 tips, authorities remain without a suspect or motive. The recent snowstorm further complicated the investigation by eradicating potential forensic evidence, almost as if the shooter anticipated the weather's impact.

Amidst this chaos, Brown University has come under scrutiny for erasing the digital footprint of Mustapha Kharbouch, a first-year student and third-generation Palestinian refugee from Lebanon. His disappearance from the university's website and subsequent social media blocking of inquiries has only deepened suspicions. Kharbouch was known for his involvement in community organizing and Middle Eastern studies. Yet, Brown’s response to the inquiries was not an explanation but a condemnation, citing the protection of a community member from "harmful doxxing activity." This reaction mirrors past instances where investigators probing sensitive issues were accused of racism and xenophobia, raising questions about what is being hidden under the guise of political correctness.

Enter Colonel Oscar Perez, the man leading the investigation. Appointed as Providence police chief in February 2023, his selection was celebrated more for his identity than his investigative prowess. His focus has been more on community relations and diversifying the police force than solving crimes. This approach is now being tested as he tackles the most high-profile case of his career, with a masked gunman having executed two students in broad daylight, leaving no forensic evidence behind.

Adding to the complexity is Brown University’s own ideological leanings. Professor Beshara B. Doumani, chair of Palestinian studies, previously served at Beerzate University in the West Bank, a campus with ties to Hamas-aligned activism. This association raises questions about the university's stance and how it may influence their handling of the current crisis. As the investigation unfolds, it becomes apparent that the once-revered Ivy League reputation may now serve as a facade for radical ideologies masquerading as academia.

The current situation at Brown University is not just about finding a shooter; it’s about uncovering a deeper institutional malaise. The reliance on identity politics over competence could very well be the root cause of this investigative circus. In the end, the real victim may be the tarnished reputation of Ivy League institutions, masking incompetence and radicalism under the guise of diversity and inclusion.
