Scandal Erupts: NYC Mayor’s Wife Celebrates Terrorists

A major political scandal has erupted, shaking the foundation of New York City’s socialist mayor, Zohran Mamdani. This controversy doesn't just involve his personal life and the disturbing sympathies it reveals, but also the embarrassing defeats his political agenda is suffering in court. As these twin controversies unfold, Mayor Mamdani's administration is teetering on the brink of a decisive collapse.

- Mayor Mamdani's wife is embroiled in controversy over disturbing social media posts.
- A staff member's deportation order highlights Mamdani’s ongoing immigration battles.
- The unfolding scandals reveal deeper ideological issues within Mamdani's framework.

The latest scandal involves the mayor's wife, Rama Duwaji, whose social media activity was exposed by a Washington Free Beacon investigation. Her troubling posts, celebrating the October 7th massacre and sympathizing with terrorists, were uncovered using facial recognition technology. Duwaji, a 28-year-old Syrian-American illustrator, has a history of sharing controversial content on her old X and Tumblr profiles. In one post, she praised Leila Khaled, a member of the U.S.-designated terrorist group PFLP, echoing Khaled's readiness to die for her cause. Another post on International Women’s Day in 2015 celebrated Shadia Abu Ghazaleh, a militant who bombed an Israeli bus, heralding her as a “resistance” fighter. Duwaji has also expressed disdain for American troops, accusing them of merciless actions in imperialist wars, and blamed “White People” for creating al-Qaeda. In 2013, at just 15 years old, she casually used the N-word in a post.

This new report adds to a previous scandal where Duwaji liked Instagram posts celebrating the October 7, 2023, Hamas massacre, including dismissing an investigation into sexual violence as a “mass rape hoax” . The couple's ties to controversial figures are further highlighted by their hosting of Hamas-supporting activist Mahmoud Khalil at Gracie Mansion. Furthermore, Duwaji contributed artwork to an essay by Susan Abulhawa, who has compared Jews to "cockroaches and vampires." Despite these revelations, Mayor Mamdani’s defense that his wife is merely "a private individual" is increasingly insufficient. The picture emerging is of a first lady who celebrates terrorists, dismisses war crimes, and uses racial slurs, with her husband seemingly turning a blind eye.

Simultaneously, Mayor Mamdani is losing a public battle with the Trump administration over immigration. An immigration judge ordered the deportation of Rubio Bohorquez, a 53-year-old Venezuelan national employed by the New York City Council, whom Mamdani and City Council Speaker Julie Menin defended as a law-abiding individual. However, the Department of Homeland Security identifies Bohorquez as a "criminal illegal alien" who overstayed his tourist visa since 2017, had no work authorization, and has a prior arrest for assault. Despite signing an attestation claiming no arrests, he was detained in January when ICE arrested him during a routine asylum appointment. Mamdani’s outrage over the deportation order, calling it an "assault on democracy," stands in stark contrast to the facts.

This deportation order serves as a direct rebuke of Mamdani's sanctuary city policies, exemplified by Executive Order No. 13, which restricts city agencies from sharing data with federal immigration authorities. Ironically, as Mamdani's sanctuary city stance falters, revelations about his wife's glorification of terrorists dominate the headlines. Together, these controversies highlight a mayor under siege: his personal life reveals troubling sympathies, while his political agenda faces humiliating legal setbacks.

At the core of these crises is a deeper ideological issue: Third Worldism. According to a Hudson Institute piece by Zineb Riboua, Mamdani is not an Islamist or a Communist but a politician shaped by Third Worldist postcolonial theory. This cultural Marxist ideology divides reality into a binary of oppressor and oppressed, with Western civilization cast as the permanent oppressor. This worldview excuses Palestinian violence as morally obligatory and frames U.S. immigration enforcement as racial domination. The ideology dictates that facts no longer matter; only the narrative does.

This is a crucial moment. The scandals surrounding Mamdani are not just about controversial social media posts or a Venezuelan data analyst facing deportation. They represent an ideology that has stealthily infiltrated from universities into power corridors, now governing New York City. This ideology cannot recognize the October 7th massacre as an atrocity, nor can it enforce immigration law, for doing so would undermine its oppressor-oppressed binary. It views America as an empire deserving dismantlement.

As we reflect on the implications of Mamdani’s actions and the ideologies they reveal, it is essential to equip ourselves with the truth. Remember my fiery clips that went viral? Zohran Mamdani is not an anomaly. He is the product of decades of intellectual decay, now wielding the power of America’s greatest city while his wife's social media reveals their true beliefs. New York City and America deserve better. Recognizing and confronting this cultural Marxist ideology is essential to stopping its influence. The time to act is now.
