Red States Unite: Texas Shows Antifa Who’s Boss

When we think of Antifa, we often envision chaotic scenes in Democrat-run cities like Portland, which have allowed Antifa to unleash disorder on their streets for years. Yet, when considering Antifa in the deep red state of Texas, the picture is quite different. Recently, we witnessed a first: the first-ever Antifa members facing federal terrorism charges, and it all happened in Texas. This isn't just another arrest story; it's a blueprint for how red states are systematically dismantling radical networks through the power of law and order.

- Texas has charged the first alleged Antifa members with federal terrorism charges.
- The state's actions highlight a conservative commitment to law and order.
- Texas's approach serves as a model for other red states to dismantle radical networks.

They said it would never happen. Antifa was dismissed as "just an idea." Take Jimmy Kimmel, who told his dwindling audience that there's "no such thing" as Antifa, or the recent MSNBC panelist who claimed we are all Antifa if we're against fascism. But just days ago, everything changed. Cameron Arnold and Zachary Evetts became the first alleged Antifa members in U.S. history to face federal terrorism charges in Texas.

On July 4th, at the Prairieland ICE facility in Alvarado, Texas, a coordinated group of over a dozen individuals, dressed in black military-style clothing and bulletproof vests, launched what FBI Director Kash Patel called a planned attack to murder police officers and ICE officials. These weren't random protesters; court documents reveal they conducted reconnaissance, exchanged facility maps, and coordinated logistics through group chats. Fireworks were used as tactical distractions while vehicles were spray-painted with "Traitor" and "ICE Pig." When a police officer arrived, a concealed attacker shot him in the neck. By God’s grace, he survived. Now, at least two of those perpetrators have been charged as domestic terrorists.

Attorney General Pam Bondi stated, "As President Trump has made clear, Antifa is a left-wing terrorist organization. They will be prosecuted as such." FBI Director Kash Patel revealed over 20 arrests tied to this Texas case and related Antifa networks. This isn't just about a single incident; it's about dismantling an entire operational structure legally defined as a "militant enterprise." Under President Trump, the legal framework has shifted, applying terrorism statutes to these networks, the same tools used against foreign terrorist networks.

Why is this happening in red states like Texas and not, or not yet, in blue states like Oregon or Illinois? Red states operate by a fundamentally different value system, centered on a sense of cosmic order, maintaining clear hierarchical authority structures with unambiguous law enforcement mandates. This sense of order isn't tyrannical or stifling; it's radically freeing. As G.K. Chesterton once said, it allows good things to run wild. Conservatives statistically report greater happiness, with a sense of order bringing meaning and purpose to their lives. In red states, religion and a moral order mean family and children are sacred. Thus, the state is seen as ordained to protect and preserve good things. This is why faith, family, and freedom go hand in hand in a flourishing society.

When Texas Governor Greg Abbott ordered National Guard deployment ahead of planned Antifa demonstrations, he wasn't just responding to immediate threats. He signaled the state's commitment to protecting law and order and the flourishing of the good. In contrast, blue states operate under a model of "competitive authoritarianism," where bureaucrats become ideologically captured, enforcing far-left ideologies rather than the law. This results in incoherent jurisdictions, defund-the-police movements, and two-tier justice systems, creating enforcement gaps exploited by networks like Antifa.

Texas is succeeding because it understands good and evil, employing constitutional governance to protect the good and punish the evil. Authorities in Portland and Chicago, on the other hand, struggle with such basic distinctions, leading to bureaucratic chaos. Texas's cooperation with federal law authorities is just the beginning. The FBI is committed to dismantling Antifa root and branch, disrupting both street-level actors and the financial infrastructure and recruitment systems behind them. This approach, similar to dismantling organized crime families, is now applied to decentralized political violence networks.

The question isn't whether other red states will follow Texas's model; it's how quickly they can implement it. When the rule of law is applied with precision and determination, even organizations that allegedly "don't exist" find themselves subject to the consequences of their actions. Could red states like Texas lead a national renewal of faith, family, and freedom?
