In a shocking twist that has rattled the foundations of Hollywood's liberal establishment, ABC has decided to cancel the show of the ultra-repulsive, anti-Trump provocateur, Jimmy Kimmel. His antics had reached a level of derangement so extreme that even his own liberal bosses could no longer tolerate it. But there's more to this story, something deeper that might soon affect even more of Hollywood's elite.
- ABC has canceled Jimmy Kimmel's show due to his controversial and inflammatory remarks.
- Sinclair Broadcasting Group is taking a stand, replacing Kimmel's slot with a tribute to Charlie Kirk and demanding a donation to Turning Point USA.
- The cancellation signifies a broader cultural shift as audiences increasingly reject liberal dominance in entertainment.
First, it was the ultra-woke Stephen Colbert who faced the axe, and now, it's Jimmy Kimmel. On Monday night, Kimmel stepped over a line that his woke corporate overlords couldn't ignore. Kimmel's remarks during his monologue blatantly misrepresented Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old leftist who murdered conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University. Despite overwhelming evidence linking Robinson to radical leftist ideologies, Kimmel absurdly claimed the "MAGA gang" was trying to distance themselves from "one of their own". He even went so far as to mock President Trump's grief over Charlie's death, likening it to "how a four-year-old mourns a goldfish". This wasn't comedy; it was a cruel exploitation of a family's tragedy for cheap political points with a leftwing audience. Disney executives, not exactly known for their conservative values, were reportedly "absolutely livid" about the inflammatory remarks. As a result, they decided to pull the plug on the show once and for all; Jimmy Kimmel is officially done. Sinclair Broadcasting Group, one of the ABC affiliates that announced they would no longer air Kimmel's show, isn't stopping there. They're filling Kimmel's timeslot with a special honoring Charlie Kirk and have called on Kimmel to donate substantially to Turning Point USA. Our good friend Christian Heins aptly put it: "We're reaching levels of winning that some of you couldn't even imagine." The modern progressive left has no idea what they have unleashed as a result of Charlie's assassination. They've effectively killed the moderate Republican; now, we are all radicals. The left doesn't know how to handle this shift; up until now, they have been allowed to pull off all kinds of violent antics, while the right refrained from responding in kind, knowing that doing so might harm the Republic.
Guess what? That restraint ended on 9-10. That all ended on a university campus in Utah when the modern left showed itself to be a party of bloodlust. We're done holding back. This is our Braveheart moment. The liberal left is now in full meltdown mode.
Predictably, the legacy media and Hollywood's leftist elite have erupted in performative outrage. Keith Olbermann spewed more of his characteristic vitriol, tweeting: "Burn in hell Sinclair, alongside Charlie Kirk." Ben Stiller lamented that it "isn't right", while MSNBC's Chris Hayes dramatically declared it "the most straightforward attack on free speech from state actors I've ever seen". These are the same people who championed cancel culture, celebrating the deplatforming of conservatives during COVID-19 and remaining silent as social media purged right-wing content creators. Yet now they're outraged because a failing comedian faced consequences for mocking a grieving family. In the end, Kimmel's ratings were abysmal. He was ultimately let go because his show was a ratings disaster. ABC executives were looking for a reason to cancel him, and Kimmel's offensive monologue provided it. As of August 2025, he barely averaged a paltry million viewers per episode, an 11% decline from the previous month. Fox News' "Gutfeld!" was crushing Kimmel with over 3.1 million viewers—nearly triple Kimmel's audience. The late-night landscape has shifted, leaving Kimmel behind. The bottom line is that Kimmel simply wasn't good. He wasn't funny, entertaining, or insightful. He was someone whom a fringe left could turn to each night to confirm their biases. ABC executives were tired of subsidizing that. President Trump's reaction was characteristically direct: "Great News for America: The ratings-challenged Jimmy Kimmel Show is CANCELLED". The firing of Kimmel represents more than just the demise of one show. It signals the end of an era when liberal comedians could mock half the country without consequences, secure in their cultural monopoly. That monopoly is broken, and audiences are voting with their remotes.
As conservative comedy ascends and woke entertainment crumbles, Kimmel's fall serves as a cautionary tale: in a free market, nothing can save you from your own ratings disaster. The once-heralded king of late-night liberalism is dead. Long live the true king—and his name is Greg Gutfeld. The revolution is finally here, and it will be televised, but Jimmy Kimmel won't be hosting it.
