Globalism Crumbles: America’s Sovereignty Reclaimed

In a sweeping move that's bound to send shockwaves through the immigration system, President Trump has fired hundreds of leftwing judges, marking a monumental shift in judicial priorities. Imagine a goalie who lets in 97 percent of shots or a security guard who opens the door for 97 percent of intruders. Now, consider a judge who grants asylum to 97 percent of illegal migrants — it's a scenario that defies common sense! Fortunately, this madness is being rectified as these judges, including the notorious Vivienne Gordon-Uru-akpa, are shown the door. The era of unchecked asylum grants is being dismantled.

- New York immigration Judge Vivienne Gordon-Uru-akpa, who granted asylum 97 percent of the time, has been fired.
- Over 100 immigration judges have been dismissed or pushed out nationwide since President Trump returned to office.
- The new appointees, many with military backgrounds, mark a decisive shift from advocacy to enforcement.

The Department of Justice has confirmed the dismissal of New York Judge Vivienne Gordon-Uru-akpa, whose asylum grant rate reached a staggering 97 percent — the highest in New York. To put this into perspective, the national average denial rate is 60 percent. At her Manhattan courthouse, the average denial rate was 35 percent, yet she denied asylum only 9 percent of the time. Over six years, she ruled on 924 cases, rubber-stamping 836 of them. This was not judicial impartiality; it was advocacy from the bench. Thankfully, she's now part of history.

But this isn't an isolated case. Judge Gordon-Uru-akpa's firing is part of a sweeping judicial overhaul. Since President Trump's return to office, over 100 immigration judges have been removed, a quarter of the nation's immigration judiciary. Twelve courts have seen their numbers halved, and two courts currently have no judges at all. In San Francisco, only four of the original 21 judges remain. New York City's courthouse at 26 Federal Plaza saw seven judges, all Biden-era appointees, fired in a single day. An NPR investigation revealed that many dismissed judges previously defended illegal immigrants, continuing their advocacy from the bench.

The left is in absolute disarray because the Trump administration isn't just removing these judges — they're replacing them with a new type of jurist. In February alone, 33 new judges were sworn in, including 27 temporary ones. Half of the permanent judges are from military backgrounds, and all temporary judges hail from military or Department of Defense legal backgrounds. Not a single new judge has immigration defense experience; they all come from enforcement. It's akin to turning Border Czar Tom Homan into a judge and replicating him across the nation. Moreover, the DOJ has rebranded them "DEPORTATION judges," signaling a mission change. Results are already evident: In the last quarter of 2025, nearly 80 percent of asylum seekers were ordered deported. Military judges alone had a 78 percent removal rate, compared to 63 percent for others.

Democrats are panicking, introducing legislation to prevent military lawyers from serving as judges, but it's too late. These firings signify a profound transformation of our immigration system and potentially the world itself. We're witnessing more than a policy dispute; it's a clash of two visions of national identity and sovereignty. For decades, the liberal international order has aimed to dissolve borders and national sovereignty into global institutions, prioritizing universal rights over national interests. This worldview produced judges like Gordon-Uru-akpa, who saw borders as morally suspect and the judiciary as a humanitarian gatekeeper rather than a law enforcer.

However, the globalists underestimated a massive civilizational backlash. Worldwide, nations are reasserting their sovereignty, borders, and cultural identities, a phenomenon known as civilizational populism. From Italy to India, countries are reclaiming their right to decide who enters. President Trump's actions aren't just about firing judges; they're about dismantling the institutional framework of the liberal globalist order. Judges like Gordon-Uru-akpa weren't anomalies; they were the system functioning as designed, creating backlogs to keep illegal migrants indefinitely. Trump's moves, by replacing judges with enforcement-minded ones, are ripping out the globalist wiring and installing a sovereign enforcement apparatus.

This is a civilizational moment, a turning point echoed across the globe. Nations are declaring, "We are not mere units of a global order. We are civilizations with sovereign rights to defend our borders." The immigration courts, once a bastion of globalism, are now ground zero for this reclamation. The legacy media can lament, calling it a "massacre" or a "purge," but for Americans who've long watched this system fail, this is the nation-state finally reclaiming its sovereignty.
