Democrat Dominance Crumbling—What Comes Next?

Something absolutely historic is happening in New Jersey right now, and the mainstream media is desperately trying to hide it. A state that Democrats have controlled for decades is on the verge of flipping Republican. The panic in Democrat circles is palpable as the latest early voting data and polls reveal a one-two punch that's causing Democrats to flip out.

- New Jersey, a reliably blue state, is witnessing a significant shift toward Republicans, with former strongholds like Morris, Ocean, and Monmouth Counties turning competitive.
- Republican Jack Ciattarelli is in a tight race with Democrat Mikie Sherrill, with polls showing surprising momentum in his favor.
- Key issues like the economy and high costs are driving this shift, as working-class voters increasingly align with the Republican platform.

Historically, New Jersey leans Democrat by seven points. Obama won the state by 16 points in 2008 and even increased his margin to 18 points in 2012. However, that margin is eroding as the state turns redder. Trump improved his New Jersey performance by 10 percentage points in 2024 compared to 2020, marking the best GOP presidential showing in two decades. If Trump had flipped New Jersey, it would have been historic since the state hasn't voted Republican in a presidential election since 1988. While New Jersey periodically elects Republican governors like Christine Todd Whitman and Chris Christie, both ended their terms unfavorably.

Now, Jack Ciattarelli is making waves, deadlocked with Democrat Mikie Sherrill. The race is so competitive that the Democratic National Committee has poured an additional half-million dollars into the state, bringing their total investment to $3.5 million—an unprecedented amount for a New Jersey off-year election. This signals their fear.

In June, Sherrill led by 20 points according to the Rutgers-Eagleton poll. By August, Ciattarelli had cut that lead to nine points, and by October, Sherrill's lead shrank to just five points—a 15-point swing in Ciattarelli's favor over a few months. Comparing these polls to 2021, when the Democrat incumbent was overestimated by five points, suggests this race is neck and neck in one of the bluest states. But polls are only half the story.

Republican turnout in working-class areas is surpassing expectations, while Democrat turnout remains flat. Republicans are outperforming their 2024 mail ballot numbers, with the enthusiasm gap favoring Ciattarelli. The driving force behind this seismic shift is the economy. New Jersey voters cite it as their top concern, with 51% calling it the state's most pressing issue. Ciattarelli's campaign focuses on property taxes, energy costs, and utility bills—real issues affecting families. Meanwhile, Sherrill runs on the same failed woke messaging that cost Democrats the White House in 2024, attempting to link Ciattarelli to Trump with divisive culture war rhetoric.

Interestingly, several New Jersey Democrat mayors and council members have endorsed Ciattarelli, recognizing their constituencies' move to the right. These working-class voters, including union members, cops, and firefighters, are done with the radical left agenda and defecting to the Republican side. Though New Jersey has historically elected governors from the party opposite the sitting president, this pattern might be resetting as working-class voters abandon the woke Democrat Party that no longer represents their values.

Democrats are clearly worried, as evidenced by Barack Obama's campaign visit for Sherrill and the Democratic Governors Association's $20 million ad spend, dwarfing the Republican Governors Association's $6 million. Yet, they can't overcome authenticity. Ciattarelli addresses voters' real concerns, while Sherrill repeats failed talking points. Voter awareness is high, and Republicans seem even more motivated than in 2024. As in-person early voting begins, a large turnout could foreshadow a historic election day.

No matter the outcome, the era of Democrat dominance in blue states is ending. The Great Realignment is here, and on November 4th, the nation might witness history.
