Blake Lively Pulls Desperate MeToo Stunt

Actress Blake Lively has claimed that her co-star and director of the film “It Ends With Us,” Justin Baldoni, created a harmful work environment where he sexually assaulted her and discussed inappropriate, uncomfortable, and belittling things while working together on the film. However, Baldoni and his lawyers refute these claims and argue that Lively is framing him and desperate for attention.

Amber Heard has hilariously come out in support of Lively, which does not lend credibility to Lively’s claims. The general consensus on social media seems to be against Lively as she has been reportedly difficult to work with on other projects and known as very rude to interviewers and people who approach her in public.

The public backlash against Lively began during the promotion of the film in the summer. Baldoni and Lively did not promote the film together which is when the public began picking up on their feud behind the scenes. It came out around this time that Baldoni had inquired about Lively’s weight, which was framed as ‘fat-shaming,’ especially since Lively had recently given birth to her 4th child. However, Baldoni has back injuries including multiple bulging discs. According to his lawsuit, he was asking about her weight to ensure that he would not injure himself during a scene where he was supposed to lift Lively in the air.

The public perception of Baldoni initially was unfavorable in the summer when these ‘fat-shaming’ allegations came out, however, upon learning about this injury many felt as though his inquiry about her weight was innocent. Each of the stars promoted the film separately as their feud continued. It Ends With Us is a film about domestic violence, and the way that Baldoni and Lively spoke in their interviews and press tours was very different, leading to many people questioning Lively’s integrity.

While Baldoni appeared caring and empathetic and brought the focus toward the serious nature of the film’s topic, Lively appeared uncaring and airheaded as she kept bringing up her new haircare product line. Her actions during the film promotion were unpopular and outlets began criticizing her in their reporting. Lively seems to think that the public backlash against her was spurred by Baldoni behind the scenes, but it seems now like it may have been completely organic.

Unfortunately for Lively, the era of MeToo feminism is decisively over as men and women are tired of self-victimizing progressive ideologies. Her new lawsuit against Baldoni is already receiving a lot of backlash as Baldoni’s legal team released statements alleging they will release all communications between Lively and Baldoni and their teams which they claim will reveal that Baldoni did not sexually harass Lively, but that Lively and her team are being manipulative and deceitful in the way they are trying to frame Baldoni to the public. Ultimately, we will see what happens with these lawsuits, but it is incredible to see that the era of MeToo feminism and ‘believe all women’ has come to an end as the public is not immediately and blindly believing Lively’s tenuous claims simply by nature of being a female.
