– Willis is under fire for allegedly hiring Nathan Wade to prosecute Trump even though he had no experience and they were romantically linked.
– Willis has lied under oath about who paid for their lavish vacations and the nature of their relationship.
It is going from bad to worse for Fulton County DA Fani Willis! Fox 5 Atlanta shares an update on her situation:
The latest bombshell report is that Fani Willis was just visited by the US Marshals Service who hand-delivered a House Judiciary Committee subpoena to her personally. The House Judiciary Committee originally sent a subpoena to Willis back on February 2 for documents related to her accused misuse of federal funds related to her indictment of President Trump, but Willis, in an act of utterly brazen recklessness, refused to accept the subpoena. That refusal caused nothing less than the US Marshals Service to show up at her door.
What both the Georgia legislature and the US Congress are investigating are allegations that Fani Willis has been personally profiting off of her political persecution of Donald Trump. Fani Willis appointed her boytoy subordinate, Nathan Wade as special prosecutor, even though he’s never tried a felony case in his life. These two are having an affair, she appointed him to a position that he obviously doesn’t belong in, and she paid him inordinate sums of money. According to a court filing, Wade got almost $1,000,000.00 in legal fees since he was appointed prosecutor, which far exceeds any compensation commensurate with that position.
Wade’s divorce proceedings revealed that he and Willis were taking all kinds of extravagant, lavish vacation trips to places like San Francisco, Napa Valley, Florida, and Royal Caribbean cruises since Wade got the gig as a special prosecutor. Fani Willis is being investigated at the state level and the federal level for allegations of misuse of state and federal funds, specifically in terms of how she’s been personally profiting off of this witch hunt against President Trump. Willis is on record denying this. She has admitted the affair, but according to Wade, the affair started after he was miraculously and coincidently appointed prosecutor in this case. Fani Willis testified under oath that they both separated their expenses for these lavish vacations, each paying their share.
She knows that if it could be shown that Wade was paying for her after she secured all that money for him, that it would come across as an obvious conflict of interest. This is exactly what the objective evidence shows. The records from Wade’s divorce proceedings demonstrate that Wade paid thousands of dollars in trips for Willis. The receipts, itineraries, and hotel room bookings prove that Wade paid for it.
Willis and Wade also maintain they didn’t start having an affair until after she appointed him as a prosecutor. If they had an affair before that, it would violate Georgia’s Rules of Professional Conduct, which are the State’s guidelines for lawyer ethics. As if things couldn’t get worse, now there are new filings including an affidavit by a whistleblower claiming that Willis lied about when that relationship began. The affidavit was signed by Wade’s old lawyer, which is highly unusual given the precedent of attorney-client privilege.
His former lawyer has come forward and said that he has evidence, non-privileged personal knowledge, that the affair began before Willis was even sworn into office as DA back in 2021. This whole case against Trump in Georgia is unraveling. Already, Jonathan Turley, professor of law at George Washington University, is saying that Trump is winning his case in Georgia by a war of attrition. He is not winning by being exonerated in court, he is winning by the fact that the prosecution appears to be completely unraveling right before his eyes.
The longer this thing drags out, the more the prosecution begins to fragment and crumble. Trump is winning this in the court of public opinion, in that the vast majority of the country sees this as nothing more than blatant lawfare in our two-tier legal system, and he is winning this before it even goes to court in that the radical corruption inside the DA’s office is more and more getting exposed and coming to light. Fani Willis thought she was going to be the one to bring Donald Trump down, when in the end, it looks like it is Donald Trump who is bringing her down, with her destructive hubris leading to her demise!
