As the presidential race heats up, President Biden continues to receive more condemnation from his opponents, and those within his own party. AJ Delgado, a former adviser to President Trump who rescinded his support, claimed that Biden is running “the worst campaign he’s ever seen.”
This comes after President Trump has significantly increased his lead in key battleground states like Arizona, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin, and Nevada. In Arizona, Trump leads Biden by a staggering five percentage points, a state he previously lost in 2020. According to the poll, Biden only leads in Michigan by one percentage point.
Because of Biden’s poor polling, the Democrats are melting down. “You don’t want to be that guy who is on the record saying we’re doomed, or the campaign’s bad or Biden’s making mistakes. Nobody wants to be that guy,” said a Democrat operative in touch with the Biden campaign. He continued, stating “This isn’t, ‘Oh my God, Mitt Romney might become president.’ It’s ‘Oh my God, the democracy might end.’”

Considering Trump’s legal battle and his fundraising deficit relative to Biden, it’s understandable that top Democrat operatives would feel this way. With 5 months until the election, it’s still impossible to say who will prevail, despite Trump’s current advantage.
Nonetheless, more positive signs continue to increase Trump’s momentum. Democrats are reportedly concerned about his messaging in extremely blue areas like New York. “The number of people in New York, including people of color that I come across who are saying positive things about Trump, is alarming,” stated one Manhattan resident.
The Biden campaign is initiating a black voter outreach effort to counter Trump’s momentum. His approval rating among black men has dropped precipitously from 94% to 55%, a staggering figure that could doom the President.
President Trump has persevered despite all of the curveballs thrown in his direction. We could point to Biden’s incompetence as a reason for his failures, but it ultimately comes down to policy. Biden has wrecked our country for three and a half years, while President Trump ushered in an era of prosperity. Americans long for the days of cheap gas and 3% inflation, which is why President Trump is surging in every poll.
